Chase wrote:And yeah we need to be careful how we manage this. Erica/Jimmy J is already obvious and I know that Brook picked the person on your tribe who hasn't shown up yet. After the first challenge it should be easier to disguise.
Yve wrote:That's great to hear! I definitely want to take advantage of this 'partners' twist. Everything I said in my survey was honest, I'd really like to form a legitimate partnership with you that we can use later on once we're actually playing the game together. If you are in the majority at merge, I'd like a chance to integrate with you, and if I am in the majority, you are welcome to integrate with me.
Joining a majority alliance is easy, our job here it to make sure we can move the other into a more secure spot. Wouldn't it be badass if partners got to the finals together? That would be legendary.
Hope I'm not jumping the gun with all of this. I just want to lay out my intentions to you early.
Yve wrote:I think as long as I keep my post count irregular from yours, we won't have an issue about people grouping us together.
Although to maintain good alliances with our own team members, we may at one point need to reveal our partner's identities. I feel like it's respectable to both of us if we let our partner know when we revealed this and to who. Especially if we're working together.
If we do this right, we absolutely have a shot at making it to the end. So glad to have you as a partner!

Yeah that is what I was hoping for when I picked your survey
My previous season also had the Partnership Twist and there were only a few pairs who made any effort to use it, which I never really understood. Like this is a huge oppurtunity that we don't usually get in these games and I know that I intend to make the most of it. My partner actually ended up being my main ally throughout the entire game, so I've been in this situation before and it would be great to have that kind of connection again.
We actually might end up with each other sooner than the merge. There was a mutiny in my previous season at the Final 16 or so, I took the oppurtunity to get on the same side as my partner because there was all kinds of drama going on where I was before. I'm sure it won't play out exactly the same way, but if can end up together before or during the merge game it would be great if we could work together.
Don't worry it's all good I actually like how this has been so far, on my tribe the opening couple of days was just small talk and not much else. I'm glad we have been able to get straight into it <3
Chase wrote:On that subject we have already been identified as a pair. Ted contacted me just now to say that he and his partner have been speculating about the other pairs, with it being a process of elimination that lead to us being grouped together as other partnerships were identified, so we weren't obvious or anything. I conceded that he was right and the conversation is still developing atm, but I figure that if Ted intended to use this against us then he wouldn't tell me all of it so there might be some potential to work with it.
I'm glad to be with you too Yve! I agree that we are capable of pulling this off
Yve wrote:How amazing is it that you found me, then? If I was in an iffy situation with my tribe I would flip to you in a heartbeat. So, as long as we're still in the game we're working together. Cool? Thank you for all of the history of past games. I'm a little in the dark about Stranded history. And I'd love to hear more about these players and their histories. Especially yours.
Yve wrote:Haha! Already? I'm glad we were found out by process of elimination, that means we're one of the smart groups. Look at us, barely even beginning and already outwitting people. ;).
So, the swap happened. Everyone over there is pretty middle of the road. We got stuck with the big personalities. Jimmy T actually showed up about an hour before the first challenge. So he's new. Might be a replacement or something. Tyrone is hard to have a full conversation with. Marty is weird/funny. Dan was described as 'MORP' by someone. Whatever that means. And Wendy Jo is lovely. You'll like her.
How are your former tribemates? Are any of your best friends here? I'd love to work with one of them. It would be a faster way for us to get together later on.
Jimmy T wrote:Yeah. I'm a disgrace because I just found out about this forum.

By Tuesday, I'll be able to play but not tomorrow.
Chase wrote:
Yeah same here I'll fill you in where I can.
I started out well enough in Malaysia in the majority alliance. My partner Taj and I were working together from the start too, she found the hidden immunity idol on her tribe and told me what the password was so I got the one on the Fans side. I didn't tell anybody I had it, which ended up being a mistake when my ally Brenda figured out that I did. Then we had all kinds of drama due to one player sending a Group PM meant for her two allies to the entire tribe and we had a call-out thread, it was pretty intense. Brenda implicated me as having the idol to distract attention from the mistake. I'm not sure if I could've found a way to get by or not, but when they gave us the mutiny offer I knew I had to take it.
Post-mutiny Taj worked with me and my main ally from the Fans tribe to eliminate some of her own, until we eventually merged 7-4 down. Fabio told us who the target was and I transferred the idol to her, only she decided to delibrately not play it as a risk and was voted out After that we were all pagonged </3 I'm hoping this experience is different

So I expect it'll be him who leaves.
Chase wrote:Well Fabio and I were on the same season, coming in I was hoping he would be here. Ken is someone who just needs someone to take him under their wing, you know what I mean? Not really a leader type. Really wants to avoid being out early like he was the first time. Jake is a good guy and I think you will get along. John wasn't around much, all I really know is that him and Brook were enemies on their season, they had this six page argument/debate in Loser's Lodge, so there might still be some conflict there. Brook himself is definitely a gamebot, very strategic and not easy to read.
Yve wrote:Hey Chase, sorry that I took so long replying. Last night was mostly just me answering 40 billion PM's. I know you probably got the same thing.
Yve wrote:Thank you for the back story. Brenda sucks. YOU SUCK, BRENDA.
Giving someone an idol, that sounds like a move I would make. I guarantee you I would feel honored to use the idol to save us if it happened. Her not using it was just outright disrespectful.
Yve wrote:I will not be sorry to see him go. I think everyone on Atacama has figured out who you're all booting and are planning their strategies accordingly. Suddenly, Brook is the least scary person in the game. Go him.
Fabio and I immediately made a pact to protect each other, and I plan to keep my end of the deal. A lot of rumors about a Ken verses John thing is going around. Ken is adorable, describes himself as 'weird.' But yeah, you're right. Definitely newer.
It's weird. Aside from Fabio, I like John and Brook the most. Them proposing an alliance between Me/You/Brook/Marty/John didn't hurt, either. What do you think about that? Is Ted involved at all?
Good luck at TC tonight.
Chase wrote:Yeah I had the exact same situation and I'm sure you will be going through exactly what I just did tomorrow It has basically been non-stop personal messaging ever since the swap happened.
Chase wrote:
I mean I didn't get much of a chance of discuss it with her because I had to know that it was indeed her getting the votes and not myself, but when making that kind of move for someone you care about that is the last thing you expect to happen She did post it eventually but the time limit had expired by like 13 seconds or so, meaning it didn't count. If we had pulled that off Brenda would have been gone <3 Oh what could've been.
If we get in a situation where we are in possession of idols and need to use them like that I would definitely be willing to pass one along. Haven't really tried to look for it yet, will let you know if I hear anything.
Chase wrote:Yeah this really helps Brook out. Do you think we should work on trying to break up partnerships for now or just let it go without thinking about it? I think we need to have a few others remaining at the merge so that we don't stand out. If John/Marty want to work with us then we can leave them alone for now.
Chase wrote:Fabio is a loyal guy so I think you two will work well together, he is more strategic than you might think when first talking to him too. Wow Ken vs John? Ken did tell me that he found John awkard to talk to early on. I agree that there is something about him that is real endearing <3 I'm sure he is paranoid as hell atm about leaving 2nd again
Chase wrote:Marty contacted me about that. John told him to pass on the idol clue to me too. Ted has not been mentioned at all. I Marty said you and him were close on Atacema? I think their actions so far suggest that they are sincere about this so I think we can work with them for sure.

Yve wrote:I promise you that if we're EVER in a situation like that, I will absolutely use the idol. Holy shit. Ab.so.lutely.
Speaking of idols.... would you mind giving me the clue to the one over there? A few other partners have done it for their kids, or at least I've heard. If you don't, that's completely respectable. No pressure.
Yve wrote:Brook is a target this round for his 'activity.' I seriously don't think he's been inactive, but whatever. It's between him, Jill and JJ. So... not a lot of those people would be a good idea.
They do want to work with us. Not sure if they're trustworthy, what do you think?
Yve wrote:I actually put in my confessional: "Fabio, he's smarter than he seems." You're such a good match with me. And yes, Ken is as adorable as you made him out to be. You seem to really like all of these guys. It must've been hard to leave them.
Who do you think I should stick with? Who would you like to be/are actually in an alliance with? Because these guys are going in a lot of directions right now. I need to focus on taking one more seriously.
Yve wrote:I was close with him, we used to pretend that we hated each other. It was a weird game we played. And we talked about pursuing a relationship, but the swap got in the way of that. Really smart, cute guy. Right?
Yve wrote:It wasn't. Jane was a mess. Poor girl. This new one is going to be a hard one, definitely.

Chase wrote:No worries Yve It is the same over here. Palena generally prefer shorter messages that are replied to quicker, so the overall affect is still the same. I have no problem with you having a focus on what is going on over there, it won't do either of us much good if we can't solidify where we are on our actual tribes.
Chase wrote:And I can make the same promise to you. I'd like to think that is the kind of freak event that will only happen once and never again, if it does then I'll have to think that I'm cursed or something I have to confess that I haven't really dedicated a whole lot of time looking for the thing, but with my timezone I have the advantage of being online when nobody else usually is, so I'll do my best to look tonight and will hopefully have good news in the morning ^_^
From now on we could agree to post the next clue as soon it we get it on our tribe boards?
Chase wrote:I saw Brook had missed the last two challenges and I'm actually not surprised by that, because he isn't in this timezone either and is probably going to miss more events than he actually makes. I'm glad to hear that you are safe and not in danger.
I didn't hear from Marty at all today actually, unless he replied to my PM from last round as I am typing this John made a big deal about how he is a loyal player when he was here and that he knows that even if Brook doesn't want to admit it, that loyalty is why believes Brook regrets flipping on him. I have no idea what to make of that dynamic alol <3 The only problem I have with John is that he doesn't exactly have a filter if you know what I mean? His intent is probably good. I just hope his actions don't cause problems.
Chase wrote:
Fabio hides his strategic side very well. Not in the sense that he is low-key and then causes all kinds of chaos, that is more the game that Brook likes to play. Fabio is more about getting into a solid alliance and taking initiative at the post-merge. At this stage he would be very stable. The swap definitely took some getting used to because I had got used to those guys in a short amount of time
I think it depends on what kind of alliance you are hoping to form. The Malaysia connection will always give me something with Fabio, so if you and him were to work in what would be an equal dynamic until the merge that would be worth investing in. If you wanted someone to take the lead on and guide through the game I reckon Ken would be your guy. I never really figured out what kind of game Jake was keen to play, maybe a little bit of both, how was the reaction after he vanished tonight?
Chase wrote:alol that sounds hilarious <3 Marty is an interesting guy, really not sure how to describe him tbh. He is pretty much in no danger over here at all because he stands out at every single challenge.
Chase wrote:
All I know about her is that she gave the first two lines of the idol clue to Russell instead of the whole thing, so he does not miss her at all after that
If you have to vote out Brook then I reckon we could take advantage by picking up John and being able to lead him around. Brook always likes to have a group of people who do what he wants them too, so I am sure that John would be the side-kick in that dynamic.
Yve wrote:Oh, I would definitely prefer shorter messages. I like what we're doing here, though. No one is on right now though, so I'm all caught up on PMs with time to spare!
Yve wrote:So you're the guy who's good at finding idols. Let's compare notes. I've been looking at regions around Patagonia. Or anything that could be described a region. Only issue is, the only kind of region that could house two countries would be a continent, right? And there aren't any continents that have just two countries. Unless he means 'region' as in an general area of land. Also not sure if it should have any capital letters or not.
Absolutely! Sorry I didn't post it here when I got it. I really just didn't think to. I'm not interested in keeping secrets, especially secrets that would help us BOTH out.
Yve wrote:I was really enjoying my conversations with John and Brook. But mostly because I thought that was the alliance you felt was smartest for us. Not sure why I was thinking that though. I just don't want us to be playing opposite games once we finally meet up. Marty and Jane both had problems answering PMs some times. Jane got better at the merge, I figured Marty would too.
Yve wrote:Thank you for the info on Fabio and Brook. Based on my experience with them so far, you seem like you're dead on about the low key games from both of them. So you're probably right about what results from those low-key games, and it kind of scares me with Brook.
So if I was to work more extensively with Fabio, we'd both be in a better position? He'd be more inclined to join us both at the merge? And I'd LOVE to work with Ken. We're so alike it's scary. Or, at least he entertains me. I'll stick with him on this vote, definitely.
Everyone was ultra kind with Jake, except for Jimmy J. He kind of ragged on him initially. No one really liked it.
Jeff Probst wrote:I'll be honest, I don't care who the hell I'm partnering with, it's going to be the only secret I end up taking to the ship off this island when I end up going. 1. What personality types do you get along with? clash with? I get along fairly alright with pretty much anyone. I've got one primary rule of thumb, though - be a douche, expect a douche. I don't like assholes. I don't like the stupid fucking HBICs that so many people try and fail to be. It's incredibly stupid and pointless, and it's a complete waste. That being said, I'm not going to be here long enough for it to matter, so there's that to consider.
2. Are you typically a dominant personality in most friendships? Submissive? Neither? I'm going to go with option D, all of the above. It depends on who it is. I don't care how it goes. Like I said, I very probably won't be here long enough for it to make any difference at all.
3. What is your strategy in the game? Strategy? STRATEGY?! Where's the roflmao smilie when you need one? That's just laughable.
4. What type of partner are you looking for in the game? One who doesn't mind the fact that their partner is completely and utterly fucked, even before the game's started, just because of who he is. Or, you know, bottom of the barrel. O don't care who it ends up being.
5. How would most people describe you? What are you really like? Uh. Hello? THIS is what I'm really like. Okay, usually I'm more mellow and I've sworn upwards in the thousands of times more often than I usually do over the course of two PMs and a confession post.
Yve wrote:I'm glad he's doing so well for himself. Now hopefully he speaks more to you. But seriously, him and I weren't very close at all. We had fun, though. My opinion of him shouldn't influence yours.
Yve wrote:Oh, come on Jane.
To be honest, the consensus at the moment is Jimmy. Next, and close, in line is Jill. After that is Brook. Only a few people are mentioning his name at all, although he is aware that people are interested in him as a target.
BUT, if I am guided the right way, I'm sure we can get Brook out instead if that's what's best. I just need a few people helping me out.
