I know I have been silent as an observer thus far, but I've just been busy.

I think out of this whole cast I can easily break it down for who I am looking forward to watch:
    Gamers:
Yve is obviously the one to watch. She's charming, funny, smart....what's not to love about her? I didn't love her pitch to her secret partner though. She just blurted how she wanted to go to the end with him in like two whole posts. I dunno, I am a fan so far, but that interaction wasn't awesome for me.

Dan I really thought was in over his head on the first night. He just seemed so gung ho (which is great, I loved it), but it appeared as though his first impression on his tribe mates was not a great one. But I love his confessionals, I love the effort he is putting in, and I really hope I see much more from him.

Brook is just a really great player. I was very impressed with him in Costa Rica and I am so so so glad he is getting another shot here. I truly hope we get to see him stretch his legs in this game because he is a very strategic player and has the social game to back it up. Just coming off another game with him, he has proved he can survive in most situations.

Wendy Jo has randomly become a sentimental favorite of mine mainly because I picked her in the pool here icon_laughing I had no idea of the cast and who was who out of the noobs, and with the 5 people left, she was online so I thought what the hell. When I learned it was Blueberry, I was pretty glad I picked him. He is basically notorious for being a huge character in games, and he has also shown to be a strategic player. He may not always do what's best for him, but I hope we see great things from Wendy Jo.

    Characters:
John is such an amazing player to have in a game icon_wub First of all, Costa Rica would not have been as fun if he wasn't in it. We had a great cast overall, but he definitely added to it and left his mark. Guatuso's fearless leader turned OTT villain liar extraordinaire. To see him and Brook playing this game again is awesome, but I knew we wouldn't get fireworks like their thread in LL last season. But if they end up working hard and getting far together, I will love it hard. Plus, like Brook I just finished another game with John and he is just a must for any game. icon_wub

Erica is pure enjoyable and she will definitely be one to watch and laugh to. Her confessional so far has been fun to read, especially her take on the other players. But obviously I love her relationship with JJ in their secret forum. As much as I love this friendship happening between them, I really hope they get sick of each other and they have the biggest and best feud ever icon_wub

Players that I'm not loving so far:
Jimmy J - I hate his attitude and there's nothing at all endearing about someone who constantly whines. I hope he quits it.
Jolanda - I love Jo, but if she honestly thinks that toning down her social game completely so she doesn't look like a type of figurehead like in CR, then she will have a rude awakening as she finds herself in the loser lodge. I hope this swap puts a fire under her ass, she CAN do better!
Tyrone - His social game is not fun to watch. If I played with someone THAT difficult to talk to? I sure wouldn't put much faith into them as an ally. One sentence messages are a killer and they do not a winner make.

    Meh-ish:
Holly - Love her effort, don't love the Mama HoHo thing. I don't think she pulls it off very convincingly.
Fabio - I guess he's like super gay and that's his schtick? I don't have too much of an opinion as of yet.
Jane - I was put off by her whining about getting Jane as her Stranded rep, because what's the big deal? But I really think she will be a big character for her time spent in the game, for sure.

Just because I think Jimmy J. will flip on the newbies for numerous reasons:
    a) he hates them
    b) Erica told him to ally with Fabio

and if that does indeed happen they might wanna get rid of a threat first icon_sad

The first thing Yve said was that she wanted to flip though. icon_lol I think the lines are going to be quickly blurred and it's not gonna be a vets vs. newbs thing.

I'm hoping the lines will blur too, but I'm only being cautiously optimistic. I just feel like if Atacama as a whole decides to vote off say.. Jimmy J. unanimously, the returnees could just see that as an easy out and Pagong the fans from there. Not totally exciting and not really that fair but I know that's what I was planning on doing had nuChorotega ever lost icon_whistling icon_shifty .
Ideally, assuming the merge is at 12, the people I'd wanna see gone are: (in no particular order)
    1) Jimmy T.
    2) Tyrone
    3) John
    4) Jimmy J.
    5) Marty
    6) Ted
    7) Jane
    8) Jolanda (unfortunately)

everyone else is really bringing it.

What's going to add some dynamics to Atacama, is John is going to be so paranoid that Brook is secretly planning his demise he would "flip" in a hot minute too. I see a power alliance forming or two dueling power alliances that are a mix between the two. And I can't see either Brook, John, or Fabio having any fucking time for Jimmy J's retardedness. I haven't read any PMs yet. Just guessing.

I also agree with your list. I love Jane, but she's not really adding anything to the game at this point.

    Jimmy J to Fabio:
Hey, Fabio. Apparently we're aligning, 'cuz you had an alliance or some shit with Erica, my partner. Heard fairly decent things about you, hope it turns out that way.

...Hopefully you're gettin' the meaning behind that. Regardless. How'd you enjoy that challenge?

Also. rule. Be fuckin' straight with me. I don't care who the fuck you are, I'm not a big fuckin' survivor fan so I don't know who your predecessor is, nor mine, nor any relationship we might have had. I don't fuckin' care, either. But I'll be straight with you. And I expect you to be straight with me. No matter fuckin what. Got it?

    Yea that’s gonna go over well. icon_lol icon_lol icon_lol

Kim, Yve seems to be doing quite nicely over there atm. The Ted/Jill/Yve/Chase plan is coming together. And Brook is approaching her with a John/Marty/Brook/Yve/Chase Cross-Tribal deal. I don't think we have to worry about our girl just yet.

They better people than me, I guess.

Russell is slowly becoming my new favorite. The schtick has grown on me and now I just find him charming and hilarious.

Also, Russell seems to be looking up Chilean things for the idol clue. I don't think he knows where he is. And wasn't he the one who started calling Ken/Ted/Jake the group from Thailand which apparently has now caught on because I keep seeing John telling everyone about the Thai alliance. icon_lol

    Love him.

I'm really really interested to see how the John/brook saga continues. I really think its a friendship built on a lick and a promise. They'll go far, but it won't be long before John is cutting brooks throat. Or maybe not... They almost remind me of chill town a bit. I'm interested to see... Either way as a duo or frienemies, they'll be a pair to watch throughout. Ending up on a tribe together only strengthens that storyline instead of prolonging it.

Jolanda reminding me a bit of ami here.. Misunderstood or possibly just mistaking,y playing it safe not wanting to waste the opportunity. She's going to have to step it up in a big way soon or characters like Russell and Ted will eat her alive.

Speaking of Ted... He fits this second chance group remarkably well.

Jolanda and Ami are completely different. Me and Tom wanted Ami gone because we knew she was a huge-ass threat, That tribe just doesn't like Jolanda at all.

They're similar in that they're both misunderstood. Ami was playing it cool and wanted to stay loyal, but none of us could get past the fact that she was a threat and wanted to throw a challenge to get rid of her. Jolanda is just trying so hard to not come off as a threat and is turning people off in the process.

But yeah, basically, they are nothing alike. Jolanda can't hold a candle to Ami's greatness. icon_wub

    Russell to Marty:
If you was hopin' fer people that ain't boring then you'll be disappointed. People was targetin me fer my shtick. I got bored pretty quickly with the PMs bout how excitin' it was ta play in Stranded again... followed by silence. But the swap took my John P, and I'ma hate Jeff Probst forever fer that.

Russell is so shrewd. He must have figured out the partners and he sent that to Marty.

Also the Ami/Jolanda comparison is a little icon_wacko. She's "misunderstood" because no one liked her to begin with so it was easy for them to all dogpile on her. It was evident from the get go that Ami was a really strong player which caused distrust and wanting to get rid of her. I think there's a huge difference.

Jolanda/Tyrone are both in trouble on Palena in the upcoming rounds. Erika afer them, but they'd have to lose all 4 for that to be a problem.

OK. Russhole is smarter than I am. I guess Patagonia is in Chile too. I've been to Patagonia, about 5 years ago, and I'm pretty sure I was still in Argentina. I guess it spans both? Maybe I'm the one who doesn't know where I am. icon_chaos

Is Wendy Jo just too dumb to realize that the pairings are pretty obvious to EVERYONE? Or does she really think that it was still a secret. Honestly I hope this hurts her game because I really don't like her.

    John to Yve:
JJ has a few question marks that's for sure. Lol.
I am thinking if you and I and my partner which is Marty (if you haven't already figured out) can work together I think we'll be in a good spot especially once we make it to the merge.
If you're keen to bring in your partner as I am guessing it is either Chase or Ted as I've figured out the others and we can bring Brook into it to make a solid 5 person alliance. How does that sit with you? Brook's probably the best to work with and I trust him the most out of the guys that came over and I know he got on well with a few others particularly Ted and Chase.
Be good to hear your thoughts on it?
I am pretty sure Brook is sweet with this but I wanted to run it by you before I discuss with him. He's gone offline now anyway.
I am being serious and 100% legit about this. I really think we need each other. I wasn't in a good spot on my other tribe at all. Erica, Jolanda, and Russell especially were gunning for me. I previously played with Jolanda and she isn't the biggest fan of me as I know she's a snake and I know her game so she was able to turn a few people against me before I came online so this tribe mix up is very welcomed from my end believe me.

I wonder what they are going to do now because all the newbs on Atacama were assuming that they could pick up one of Brook/John to turn on the other. icon_chaos I'm almost hoping Atacama loses tonight because that dynamic is going to be MUCH more interesting to watch because they are more clearly split down the middle than Palena, with Yve as the wildcard.
